God Will Never Give You More Than You Can Handle

Faith is the only thing that will hold you together when the world around you seems to be falling apart.  This quote seemed to be a good reminder for many as the summer began.  I was studying Wednesday May 11 for a Macroeconomics and biology final I had the next day when I got a phone call from my mother.  She had said that a good family friend had been in a really bad car accident caused by he rain.  She was only about two miles from home when she hydroplaned, ended up in the other lane, and was fatally hit by  an oncoming car.  She left behind one brother, two sisters, nieces and nephews, her parents, husband, and four wonderful children.  After hearing this awful news my finals that I had the next day seemed to be a piece of cake.  The bad news doesn’t stop there.  A few days after I had been home I got a phone call from my good friend Alyson Moore who was a freshman on the livestock judging team at Butler Community College.  She informed me that her boyfriend had been helping a friend work on a boat and was on his was home and fell asleep behind the wheel.  He was ejected from the car and taken to the hospital and put on life support.  He passed away last night, May 18.  Losing someone is not easy and sometimes we are found asking ourselves why this happened.  Nobody has a real answer but God! He has a plan and perfect timing for everything, even though we were not ready to say goodbye.  God ONLY takes the bestand those who have passed don’t want to see us mourn because they are in heaven dancing with angels where everything is as perfect as it can be.  It is amazing to see all the support that family and friends get, it doesn’t change the situationbut it makes it easier.  I guess in times like this we can just look back and be thankful for all the years we have been blessed with such wonderful people and all the memories that we treasure with them.  Life is too short to do anything but live it to the fullest, and thank God for each day he has given us.
